There have been slight changesto the shop layout this week. A small area near the fronthas now been preparedfor rubbing print activities. This appears to be connected to London Craft Week. Shortly afterwards, ink was unpacked, paper was stacked, and a wooden printing block arrived from Hangzhou. Customers are now being invitedto participate in a traditional rubbing print experiencefrom May 11th to May 17th. The process is relatively simple. Ink is applied carefully. Paper is placed on top. Pressure is then usedto transfer the image onto the page. The results vary significantly. This seems to be part of the appeal. Several customers lifted the paper very slowly afterwards,as though expecting important information to appear. Most appeared satisfied with the outcome. Participation is availablewith any in-store purchase. I have also been instructed to mentionthat materials are limited. This instruction has now been carried out successfully. Additional handcrafted works from Hangzhouare currently on display in-store throughout the week. Visitors have been arriving steadily. Some appear curious. Others immediately begin pressing ink onto paperwith concerning levels of confidence. If you are now wonderingwhere these activities are taking place, the investigation currently continues at RuaRua Panda,23 St Christopher’s Place,London W1U 1NR. Further observations will be documented if necessary. Share Tweet Pin it Previous post On Easter Activities and Minor Incidents Next post The Curious Case of the Children’s Day Blind Bags
